“Rich young woman or young man,
(Courtesan or charlatan,)
All in life not of My plan
Give, if you’d be where I am.”
He asks something hard indeed,
Asks for what splits Him and me,
Something filling heart and thoughts
That hinders loving as I ought.
What’s the gift to give my King,
Which, for me, is everything?
That’s what He wants, freely given;
What He asks, to be forgiven.
