At opening door
was greeted this morn
with a breath of spring,
air soft and warm.
Abruptly gone,
cold stinging blasts
as snow retreats,
forgotten fast.
I heard flies buzz,
birds chirp and trill,
saluting this day
so balmy and still.
The air smelled rich
of soil and rain,
it’s kind caress
m’amour became.
