Rosemary is for
remembrance:
love child,
wild rose,
your own dance
Parsley is
lively and arty:
garnish of life,
a spirit so hearty
Piquant chive,
cut to be a wife;
nicely spicy,
a poignant life
Basil grows
a gourmet:
but seeds
a skeptic,
brambles the rose
Nasturtium, color
of primal needs:
yours to birth,
to fashion,
to feed
Thyme toujours
tempers le fleur:
love
nor pain
riles,
just beguiles
Lavender paints
your memories:
keepsakes,
home,
hospitality
Savory sage
seasons you best:
your life
now mellow,
harvests circumspect
