One winter day I awoke to see
a fairy land in front of me;
every branch, each tiny shoot,
with shiny coat, enchanted stood.
Sunlight made a lacy shower
where once there stood a dreary bower;
the arbor's tangle of icy twigs
had turned into diamond digs!
A Cinderella land to me for sure
was given only one hour more;
marveling at this crystal treat, my jewels
disappeared with sunshine's heat.
