Before the world began, before lovemaking, there was Love;
before passion, two-in-one-flesh, and devotion until death,
there was the one and only I AM, His Spirit,
and His perfect Image, the Word;
and nothing came to be without them, living in each other,
creating and keeping everything in being.
Word did not insist on equality with Father,
but took on the likeness of what He had created, human flesh,
for the benefit of the offspring created in Their Image.
His delight, as is ours, was to be among His friends,
so to all who believed in Him, who followed His commands,
He gave power to become His very abode:
“as the Father is in Me and I am in the Father.”
Because “Where I am, I want you also to be,”
Son had asked, and the Father sent His Spirit
to give Christ’s followers wisdom and power to extend His message
of salvation, through repentance, to the ends of the earth.
So beloved was the Son that
His Father gave all judgement over to Him,
and thus to all who believed in Him through the Spirit
Jesus gave the power to become
sons of God.
