The Starrie Night

Faraway fires of the Milky Way flow
in great bands of nebular glow, while
nearby fireflies wink and gamely flash,
dashing about under the starrie dome.

Constellations long flung into homes
in the celestial night twinkle their way
across the sky, but women journey
the dark alone beaming reflected light.
